Summary: Sam and Dean are shocked to discover a series of comic books titled Supernatural that accurately detail their lives as demon hunters. They track down the writer, Carver Edlund, who explains he has visions of the brothers that he then turns into comic books. Chuck reveals that Lilith is coming and she has a plan for Sam.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CHAR: When asked what Dean's favorite song is he says "It's a tie, between Zep's Ramblin' On and Travellin' Riverside Blues." The Led Zeppelin song is actually called Ramble On, not Ramblin' On.

TRIVIA

Chuck, thinking that Sam and Dean are his fans, asks them if this is "a Misery thing". This refers to Stephen King (I)'s book (and later movie) of the same name where a writer's "biggest fan" kidnaps him and restrains him in her house and forces him to write another book of his finished series.
The author of the books uses a pseudonym of "Carver Edlund" which comes from Jeremy Carver, the executive story editor, and Ben Edlund, the co-executive producer.
The title of the books written by Carver Edlund are actual episode titles.
The diner Dean and Sam eat at is called Kripke's Hollow Diner - named for the series creator.
The names DeYoung and Shaw that Sam and Dean use at the comic store are members of the band Styx.
