Summary: When Sam and Dean find articles about a town where children are inexplicably falling into comas, the brothers discover that a Shtriga, a creature that attacks children, is behind the mysterious comas. During the battle, Dean remembers a past battle with the creature that almost resulted in Sam's death.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CHAR: When Dean and Sam enter Fitchburg, WI, the name of the city is spelled incorrectly on the population sign [Fitchberg], despite being spelled correctly on a billboard behind the sign.
CREW: At the end when Dean and Sam pull away in the Chevrolet, you can see the whole camera crane which is filming, reflected in the side of the vehicle.

TRIVIA

Black River Falls and Brockway Wisconsin are real places. BRF really did have an outburst of deaths in the 1890s. There is a documentary about it called Wisconsin Death Trip. (Brockway is a township of BRF.)
Even though Fitchburg, WI (where the episode is set) is a real place, Fort Douglas, WI (where the flashbacks are set) does not actually exist.
The cartoon that Sam is seen watching during Dean's first childhood flashback is "Thundercats" (1985).
The map that Dean shows Sam actually shows a real area of Fitchburg, WI, (where the episode is set) but the hospital shown on the map is not there. Fitchburg is a suburb of Madison and all the local hospitals are in Madison itself.
Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook are names of cities that Sam mentions. These are made up cities where Lyle Lanley from "The Simpsons" (1989)'s universe made monorails in the episode "Marge v. the Monorail".
