Summary: Sam, a soon-to-be college graduate, has an interview set up to attend one of the most prestigious law schools in the country. His brother Dean, whom he has not seen in several years, unexpectedly shows up in the middle of the night to tell him that their father went missing while on a hunting trip. Leaving his girlfriend behind to find their dad, Sam joins Dean in order to find their father in Jericho, a small town where unmarried men have disappeared without a trace.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Sam and Dean are at the gas station Sam picks up a Metallica tape and Dean puts it in, but the song playing is Back in Black by AC/DC.
CONT: In the scene where Dean gets arrested his coat collar jumps up and down.
FAKE: In this episode when Sam is saying that Dean has to update his music tapes, Dean grabs a Metallica tape from Sam, and puts it in the radio but the song heard is Back in Black from AC/DC.
CHAR: While Sam and Dean are at the bar, when the worker hands Dean the drinks he says, "here you go Jensen", referring to the actor's real name.

TRIVIA

Eric Kripke, the show creator and executive producer, and his wife welcomed a new baby boy on May 2, 2007. This also happens to coincidentally be Sam's birthday on the show, which Kripke describes as "Creepy".
In one version of the pilot script that Eric Kripke turned in to the studio, the episode ended with the Winchester boys finding their dad dead on the ceiling. In another version of the pilot script, Sam suspected Dean of being a serial killer, and of murdering their father.
