Smallville featured a similar story (three Legionnaires go back in time to help a young Clark Kent fight off Brainiac) in the season eight episode "Legion" (written by Geoff Johns). "Legion" featured Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lightning Lad (who replaced Chameleon Boy in the animated series' version).
While Lana is at Clark's house, Martha tells Jonathan to go to another room to watch an episode of "The Dukes of Hazard" so that Clark and Lana can have a private conversation. In the series Smallville, Jonathan Kent is played by John Schneider, one of the stars of "The Dukes of Hazard".
