Episode Quotes
Jack O'Neill: Well if you're lookin' for help translating it, you're barking up the wrong genius.
Major General George Hammond: [shouting] Colonel O'Neill, what the hell are you doing?
Jack O'Neill: [shouting back] In the middle of my backswing?
Jack O'Neill: [shouting back] In the middle of my backswing?
Jack O'Neill: You know the worst part about this? Every time we loop Daniel asks me a question, and I wasn't listening the first time.
Teal'c: You're not the only one to suffer some discomfort, O'Neill. [loop resets; cut to Teal'c getting hit by a door]

Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): While playing golf through an active Stargate, Jack asks Teal'c how far away the planet on the other end is; Teal'c says "several billion miles." Given that one light-year is approximately 6 trillion miles, and the closest star-system is 4.5 light-years from Sol, Teal'c is off by several orders of magnitude. Of course, he's not an astronomer and is probably unaware of the true scale of interstellar distances.
Trivia
- The fruit loops on O'Neill's spoon were glued in place to ensure continuity between takes/time loops, which is why he never eats that spoonful of cereal.
- The book, "Latin for Novices" that Jack reads when helping to translate the text on the altar is written by Joseph Mallozzi, PhD. Mallozzi is a writer and producer for Stargate SG-1.
