MISTAKES/GOOFS
- PLOT: When the future Enterprise returns to the Devron system to witness the evolution of the anti-time anomaly, LaForge states that it has formed within the last six hours (caused partly by the USS Pasteur's tachyon pulse). It has been pointed out several times though, that the anomaly evolves and grows backwards in time. Therefore, it would be impossible for Picard & Co. to see the anomaly AFTER its formation. The best time to witness its creation would actually have been shortly BEFORE the Pasteur's scan.
- FAKE: When the crew are discussing what Q told Picard in the conference lounge, we see a view of the stars streaking past Riker's head. It appears to be matte work.
- FACT: Beverly thinks that because of the accumulation of acetylcholine in Picard's brain, he now has about two days worth of new memories. Acetylcholine has nothing to do with memory. Its a brain chemical involved with muscular contractions.
- FAKE: When Q takes Picard back in time to the dawn of man, the prehistoric Earth is clearly a CGI landscape.
- CONT: Although the events of the past time-line are not congruent with those from the season 1 pilot, one can assume that at least the outset (i.e. Picard's shuttle transport to the Enterprise] did actually happen. His remark to Tasha Yar that she "looked very familiar" suggests that they met officially for the first time on that occasion. This, however, is in clear contradiction to the story Picard told in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) {Legacy (#4.6)} about his first encounter with Yar (see the "quotes" section there).
TRIVIA
- In the future, Geordi no longer wears a VISOR. His eyes look similar to the optical implants he would gain in _Star Trek: First Contact (1996)_ which suggests some of the things in Q's future would come to pass. Geordi's also married to a Leah. Possibly Dr Leah Brahms, the warp field specialist from episodes #3.6 and #4.16 that Geordi fell for.
- The image of Riker in the scene where Picard informs him they will not be heading to Farpoint is actually a recycled scene from the first season episode "The Arsenal of Freedom". The dead giveaway is the man standing behind Riker, the illusion of Captain Paul Rice.
- In "All Good Things," Beverly (Crusher) Picard's medical ship design was based largely on very early draft designs of the original "Star Trek" Enterprise.
- Production on Star Trek: Generations (1994) began while the episode was made. The scenes filmed were on the Enterprise-B set. After production wrapped on the series finale, the cast got a ten-day break before jumping back in to work on the film.
- When Q says Trek, its the first time anyone has ever said that in a Trek episode. Zefram Cochrane would later say Star Trek in _Star Trek: First Contact (1996)_.
