MISTAKES/GOOFS
- FAKE: Although all crew members on the Enterprise and the Romulan Warbird are frozen (or close to) in time, they can sometimes be seen moving slightly.
- FAKE: After Picard is reaching for the fruit his fingernails are longer (because his cells metabolize at a higher speed after being near the fruit). However, you can see them being longer before he is near the fruit, as he enters the room and operates the computer.
- MISC: The alien scientist sounds like he has a Yorkshire accent when Deanna is imitating him.
- FAKE: Some obvious matte work when the Runabout loses control and the stars are moving quickly past the window.
- CONT: After Picard, Data and Troi beam over to the bridge of the Enterprise frozen in time, Data tries to work the Comm station and tells the Captain that "the equipment is no longer functioning." Seconds later, Picard pulls up display after display from the Tactical station detailing current Security team deployments. As he moves his hands across the panel, you can hear the clicks and beeps of the computer acknowledging his requests.
TRIVIA
- Data says the starboard engine has been running for 47 days. 47 is a common number in the series, and has many connotations to all sorts of things.
- Time moves quick or slow throughout the show. In _("Star Trek: Voyager") (1995-2001) {Shattered (#7.11)}_the ship is split into different time frames of its history. A logical extension of the plotline of this episode.
- This is not the first time the Enterprise has transferred power to a Romulan Warbird via energy beam. It was first done in _("Star Trek: The Next Generation") (1987-1994)) {The Next Phase (#5.24)}_ And the two episodes are set almost exactly one year apart.
- O'Brien used a special armband, similar to the same ones here when he needed to travel two hours into the future in _("Star Trek: Deep Space Nine") (1993-1999) {Visionary (#3.17)}_.
- When Picard, Data, Geordi and Troi are seated around a table on the Runabout, the seats are the same ones from the USS Voyager's conference lounge.
