Summary: Stardate: 45429.3 When Enterprise transports a delegation of telepaths to Kaldra IV, several of the crew fall into comas. It appears that one of the delegates has broken his races' vow not to use their telepathy to harm others.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: Dr Crusher refers to the thalamus as "the part of the cerebral cortex involved in memory function." However the thalamus is not part of the cerebral cortex, and is not considered all that vital to most memory processes.

TRIVIA

The concept of telepathic rape was used again in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), with Counselor Troi once more a victim.
The first episode produced following Gene Roddenberry's death.
This is the only episode of Star Trek which features Keiko O'Brien without her husband Chief Miles O'Brien
The writing staff created memory flashbacks for every major character before Riker, Troi and Beverly were chosen. One involved Ensign Ro's actions that court-marshaled her. Another was La Forge's traumatic childhood memory of being caught in a fire.
