Although it has never been officially confirmed, this Star trek episode is strongly derivative of the classic _"The Twilight Zone" Five Characters in Search of an Exit (1961)_. In the Twilight Zone, as in this Star Trek, a group (5 in the Twilight Zone, 4 in Star Trek) of uniquely different characters, each with a special talent and occupation and who is a stranger to the others, mysteriously awaken in an strange sealed room, held by an unknown captor(s) in an unknown location. Initially hostile and suspicious towards each other, they gradually gain each other's trust as they are forced work together to devise an escape.
