Summary: Stardate 42402.7 While Enterprise is passing through a Star System that contains two inhabited planets which have a treaty that keeps a shaky peace in place, the crew receives a call from the cargo ship Erstwhile, saying it is in need of repairs. The Captain of the vessel is Thadiun Okona, a handsome scoundrel, who quickly makes a reputation for himself aboard the Enterprise. However, his reputation made on the two inhabited planets catches up with him. Now, both planets demand that he be turned over to them.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Worf fetches Okona, he finds him on deck 7, as the numbers on the woman's door read, "07". But when Worf and Okona walk out of the room and onto a turbolift, the left side of the door says "11".
FAKE: Okona asks if he heard a woman's voice, and talks lecherously about women, but says nothing about Troi, even though she is clearly visible on the bridge.

TRIVIA

When choosing a comedian in order to study humor, the name on the comm panel of the comic that Data chooses is Ronald D. Moore, who in real life was to join writing team of ST:TNG the next year.
According to some sources, Jerry Lewis (I) was invited to play the holodeck comic. The role eventually went to Joe Piscopo who included a Lewis impersonation.
Bill Campbell (I), who played the title role, was a contender for the role of Commander Riker.
