Summary: Stardate: 41209.2 When the Enterprise is ordered to investigate what has happened to the Starship Tsiolkovsky, they find everyone dead due to bizarre incidents. Later they realize that the away team has brought back the contaminant that killed the Tsiolkovsky crew, which is past on by skin contact. Although similar to the effects that affected the past 1701 Enterprise crew, that cure isn’t affective in this case. This Enterprise faces the same fate as that faced by the 1701 Enterprise, unless they too can find the cure to the contaminant.To make matters worse, the star the Tsiolkovsky was studying is about to go super nova, and Wesley Crusher, affected by the contaminant, disables the ships engines, leaving the ship in the path of destruction.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CREW: Studio lights and set rigging reflected in the Conference room windows.
CONT: In the fight scene, Tasha wears the weapon on her left arm. After defeating Yareena she beams with her to the Enterprise. When we see her in the transporter room the weapon has mysteriously switched to her right arm.
PLOT: When Yar is kidnapped the crew wonders what to do, and Picard dramatically orders a barrage of torpedoes as a show of force. But Yar's location could have been determined via her communication pin, and she could simply have been beamed back.
CONT: In Encounter at Farpoint, Picard states that the panel to the right side of his chair is for log entries and intercoms. But when Lutan calls the Enterprise, Picard reaches to the left side of his chair to operate the intercom.
CONT: Tasha Yar's weapon is in her left hand when she is beamed out, but it is in her right hand when she materializes in the transporter room.
