Summary: With the choosing for the next Kai upon the Bajoran people, a former collaborator with the Cardassian Occupation returns from Cardassia in the hopes of returning to his home world. Instead, he is detained to await punishment for his crimes. Meanwhile, Vedek Bareil seeks the guidance of the prophets in order to bring himself to terms with the past.
