  • Episode 04 - The title translates from the Latin "He who transplanted sustains", the state motto of Connecticut.
  • Episode 05 - The title is from a World War II song "Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer" (1943), by Harold Adamson and Jimmie McHugh, which tells of a damaged warplane, barely able to limp back to base.
  • Episode 10 - The title is a parody of the movie A Bridge Too Far which in turn was based on the 1974 book of the same name by Cornelius Ryan.
  • Episode 13 - Dr. Caldwell mentions that he played football in college. Mark Harmon was a starting quarterback for UCLA.
  • Episode 08 - The title comes from the Bette Davis movie All About Eve.
