• The title references Legionellosis or Legionaires' Disease an infectious disease caused by bacteria belonging to the genus Legionella. Over 90% of all cases are caused by Legionella pneumophila, an aquatic organism that thrives in warm environments (77 to 113 °F). The first identified cases were in July 1976 when an outbreak of pneumonia occurred among people attending a convention of the American Legion in Philadelphia.
