Summary: Morbius returns to ESU to feed on the plasma of students, and during an effort to stop him, Spider-Man is shown as the attacker when Morbius retreats from the crime scene. Spider-Man goes after Morbius, and while in combat with him, Blade, the Vampire Hunter, arrives, and attempts to kill Morbius. Spider-Man stops him, as he needs to turn Morbius into a human once more to clear his name. He decides that he’ll have to team up with Blade if he ever hopes of catching him.

The season 2 episode "Neogenic Nightmare Chapter 9: Blade the Vampire Hunter" which originally aired on 3 February 1996, marks the very first appearance of Whistler, Blade's mentor, in any form. The character was originally created for the movie, Blade (1998), and has never appeared in the comics by Marvel. This episode predates the movie's premier by over two years.
