Summary: When the boys finally get to fourth grade, they begin to feel nostalgic for third grade. They get a couple of college students to morph Timmy's wheelchair into a time machine so they can go back. Meanwhile the new fourth grade teacher, Ms.Choksondik, seeks Mr. Garrison's advice for dealing with the boys, and Mr. Garrison attempts to come to terms with his own sexuality.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CHAR: In this episode, the two Star Trek nerds argue for almost the entire episode about how many episodes there were in the original "Star Trek" (1966) series. One says 72; the other, 73. They both got it wrong. There were 79 episodes in the original Star Trek series.
CONT: Throughout the episode, two geeks are arguing about the number of Star Trek episodes. One says 72, the other says 73. Later, the first geek argues there were 73 and the second geek says 72.
CONT: Kenny appears in class after he dies, when the new time machine is activated.
CONT: Ms. Choksondik writes her name with her right hand, but the next word "Life," with her left. In the next scene, "Life" is gone.

TRIVIA

"Ha ha, charade you are" comes from Pink Floyd's "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" on their 1977 album Animals. Cartman had used it before in "Cat Orgy."
This episode marked the first time a new opening sequence was introduced to the show. It featured 3-dimensional renderings of the characters, a remix of the original theme tune and live-action 'action' clips spliced in between animated clips from previous episodes. This opening sequence remained with the show until the start of season 6.
There are various toys from "Starvin' Marvin in Space" in the nerds' basement, including a Marklar doll.
