Summary: Cartman and the boys put together a boy band called "Fingerbang." When Stan's dad hears about the musical group, he tries to prevent Stan from being a part of it. As Stan tries to figure out why his dad is acting so strangely, the rest of the guys wait for him at the mall where they're late for their first gig.

When Randy Marsh yells out, "No!" to Stan and smashes his head into a glass case, it is in fact Patrick Stewart (I)'s voice taken from Star Trek: First Contact (1996) in which Stewart as Captain Picard yells out, "No!" smashes a glass case in with a phaser rifle.
"Ghetto Avenue Boys" and "Avenue Ghetto Street Boys" parody the Backstreet Boys, and "F*ngerbang" parodies *N Sync.
The boy playing the piano at the auditions is Schroeder, the Beethoven aficionado from Peanuts.
