Summary: During the meteor shower, Stan's parents bring him to Mr. Mackey's party, but he is sent to the basement where he is forced to hang out with the dorky kids. He discovers that the ATF is surrounding the party, convinced there is a doomsday cult inside. Meanwhile Stan's dad and Kyle's dad share an intimate moment in the hot tub.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

MISC: When Pip realized he and his mates are Angels without a mission, you can see two right hands on him: one at his side, one on his chin.
CONT: From behind, the antennae on Mr. Mackey's TV look straight, but from the front, they look twisted out of shape.
PLOT: This episode is one of three showing the night of the meteor shower from the different boys' perspectives. At the end of this episode, the meteor shower has not yet happened when Kyle arrives with Ike, claiming to have had a wild night at Jewbilee - but in the subsequent episode happening at the same time, the meteor shower happens before they leave Jewbilee.
CONT: Last time we saw Sharon, she was passed out on a table. When the crowd hears Randy blurt out what he and Gerald did in the hot tub, she is once again on the floor.
CONT: Randy Marsh's pocket switches sides.

TRIVIA

In the original airing of "Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub", the episode was instead titled "Melvins".
The painting, "The Scream" by Edvard Munch, hangs over Mr. Mackey's bed.
The reporter is named "Derek Smalls", a reference to Spinal Tap's bass player, from This Is Spinal Tap (1984).
The song both the ATF and Mr. Mackey play is garbled version of Cher's "Believe." After this song, instrumentals of both Cartman's "Wild Wild West" and Chef's "Stinky Britches" are heard.
Until this episode, Butters was called Swanson and never spoke.
