- Goof (errors in geography): The show is set in a fictional San Joaquin County city, but all the Teller-Morrow Automotive tow trucks have a 925 area code. None of San Joaquin County is covered by the 925 area code, its neighbor Contra Costa County is.
- Goof (continuity error): In the scenes within Ashby's shop in Belfast the door bolt changes from a vertical bolt to a horizontal bolt.
- Goof (revealing mistake): Originally, Scott Glenn was supposed to play Clay Morrow, and filmed several scenes of the pilot. After Ron Perlman replaced him, most of the scenes were re-shot, but in several scenes (mostly scenes where the characters are on their motorcycles), it's obvious that it's Scott Glen, and not Perlman.
- Goof (continuity error): When we see Otto (Kurt Sutter) for the first time, he has a tattoo on his neck "SOA" but throughout the rest of the seasons his tattoo there says his wife's name.
- Goof (continuity error): When Darby is talking with the Mayans, his upper chest tattoos are missing.
- Goof (continuity error): Near the end of the show, when Jax shoots Kohn in the upper left portion of his head, above the temple. Jax and Tara then make love. During the love scene, the camera pans down to the floor, revealing Kohn's body, now with the bullet hole in the upper right portion of Kohn's forehead.
- Goof (miscellaneous): While Cherry is talking ti Gemma in the store, her hairstyle changes with the camera angle. When the camera is zoomed in on her face, she has bangs. However, when the camera is zoomed out and she is talking to Gemma, her hair is swept to the side.
- Goof (crew or equipment visible): A closeup of the white dove sitting on the Highway 221 North sign, the leather jesses tethering the dove to the sign can be scene around its legs.
- Goof (crew or equipment visible): Around minute 32, after Jax and Deputy Chief David Hale have a discussion, Jax smashes a cell door with his foot. The shock opens another cell's door and we can see a staff hand catching the door to prevent it entering more into the camera field.
- Goof (continuity error): Gemma is shown twice during Bobby's welcome back party, even being spoken to by Weston as he leaves. At the same time, however, she is at Jax's home watching Abel and being kidnapped by The League of American Nationalists.
- Goof (continuity error): During the diner scene with the Hale brothers, Zobelle, and Weston, a piece of black electrical tape continues to appear and disappear from Deputy Chief Hale's radio. The tape, it seems, was supposed to be covering the "Motorola" name, but does not appear in this episode except in this scene.
- Goof (continuity error): When Gemma Morrow is talking to the Wayne Unser outside the hospital, we see two shots of her right jacket sleeve. The position of the zip on the cuff changes between shots.
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Ethan Zobelle talks to Hale about drugs, he calls Hale "Devin" instead of David
- Goof (factual errors): When the bounty hunters have Tig they tell him they are taking him to Oregon. Oregon does not allow commercial bail or bail recovery operations. The bounty hunters could not get paid for delivering him to a jail in Oregon.
- Goof (continuity error): When Jemma's talking to Tristen, the way she holds the baby changes between shots.
- Goof (continuity error): A large pimple on Jax's forehead keeps appearing and disappearing between scenes.
- Goof (continuity error): In the aerial shot of the Sons and Mayans facing off in downtown Charming it is clear that the end of the block has been barricaded. However, as the camera scans the Sons and goes to a close-up of Clay a small white vehicle and a dark pickup are clearly seen entering the street. In the next shot the barricades are again visible and the vehicles have disappeared.
- Goof (plot holes): The ambush set up for Zobelle near the end had SAMCRO firing at each other like this --> <--...a group this experienced would have not made this mistake as it opens up its members to be hit by each others rounds
- Goof (revealing mistake): When Jax puts the dead body of Mrs. Petrie on the bed next to her husband. Mr. Petrie clearly moves his own arm.
- Goof (revealing mistake): When Jax follows Mr. and Mrs. Petrie to the flea market, you can see a yellow tape with the words "Caution - Cuidado". In Belfast, it would be in English only.
- Goof (revealing mistake): While Jax follows the couple through the market, you can see two different red hats being worn by Able - One very plain one pulled low and even, and the other loosely fit on his head with prints on it.
- Goof (continuity error): When Gemma orders Stahl into the car she has a huge purse over her shoulder and on her back, when she opens the car door to get in the purse disappears.
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Jimmy O congratulates Putlova on "excellent work" when he examines the fake ID provided by Putlova, but the close-up shot of the bank cards, passports and visas shows that Jimmy, Putlova and Putlova's forgers didn't pay attention. The bank cards are in the name of William Elder, but the two visas are in the name of Elder Williams. Not exactly "excellent work", not for seven hundred thousand dollars.
- Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): SPOILER: As the MC mounts up to go confront the Russians, he revs his throttle but the sound does not match.
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The accident report that Gemma finds in Tara's office is dated 11/11/1993 and quotes John Teller being born on 05/05/1940 and having 35 years of age. He would have been 53 years of age.
- Goof (revealing mistake): The license plate number on the Coroner's van is 9999967 which is the same as the patrol car leaving SAMCRO after the raid.
- Goof (continuity error): At the beginning of the episode when Jax arrives at the Irish Kings meeting his cap is on backwards when he gets off his Motorcycle. When he moves up to shake the hand of Gaalan (one of the Irish Kings) his cap is on normally (facing forward. In the next shot Jax's cap is on backwards again.
- Goof (continuity error): While at "church" and introducing the three Nomads who are wanting to transfer into SAMCRO, they initially have the "NOMADS" patch on the left side of their kuttes. Then after Jax asks Frankie if he has anything to say, all three of the Nomads now have "REDWOOD" patches, and then as they cut around the room, they go back to the "NOMADS" patch.
- Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): When Nero shows the birdcage to Gemma, the sound effect for the lovebirds in the cage is of a different type of bird entirely.
- Goof (continuity error): During the escape from the Mexican gun deal, the damage to the station wagon changes between shots.
