Summary: During one of their missions, the Freedom Fighters discover that Dr. Robotnik has been harvesting crystals inside of a mine in order to harness their energy. However, when Sonic realizes that Uncle Chuck is working inside of the mine, he decides to try to use a power ring in hopes of restoring Uncle Chuck’s humanity. While the plan initially works, Uncle Chuck warns that there’s no time to celebrate as Dr. Robotnik is attempting to take a large crystal from the mine, which could potentially devastate the surrounding land if it is removed from the earth’s crust.
