Summary: Lex is given an envelope with damaging information that could destroy Jonathan's life and must decide whether he will use it, as it will also bring harm to Clark and Martha. Before he can decide what to do, Lex is shot and falls into a coma. He dreams that his mother visits him and shows him the life he could lead if he walks away from his father and LuthorCorp. In this alternate life, Lex is happily married to Lana with a baby on the way. Meanwhile, Chloe asks Clark to use his powers to deliver Christmas presents to needy kids. When Clark meets a disgruntled Santa Claus who has lost all his Christmas glee...

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FAKE: (At 16:45) When Lex is lying in the hospital he is connected to a heart monitor which reports his heart rate as 60-61 beats per minute. This is the same monitor which is connected to Clark, Lana, and others during earlier episodes, and has the exact same 60-61 BMP variation regardless of the character connected to it.
FAKE: During the scene with Lana hemorrhaging after giving birth, and Lex being escorted out, we see him pounding on the door and disturbing the blinds, yet in all other shots of hospital rooms in Smallville, the blinds are on the insides of the rooms, not the outside of them.
