Summary: There's a serial killer on the loose! His target: Elvis impersonators. All of the victims have both won competitions and attended an Elvis impersonator academy. With no solid leads, Sledge decides to become an Elvis impersonator to bait the killer.

In "All Shook Up," during the Elvis Impersonator contest, Hammer finds out that his turn to perform is between someone from Dallas and someone from Miami. This was a jab on the show's time placement opposite of CBS's "Dallas" (1978) and NBC's "Miami Vice" (1984).
The producers were not allowed to use any Elvis recordings or songs during the episode "All Shook Up" because the Presley estate was upset over the episode which they felt was disrespectful. Nonetheless, two songs identified with Elvis were still included: Hammer mumbles nonsense lyrics to the melody of "Love Me Tender" which was actually an old public domain folk song called "Aura Lee", and sings the ending of "Battle Hymn of the Republic" which was also public domain.
