Summary: Nate and Brenda seek advice from Rabbi Ari, who leads them to a more honest place in their relationship. Ruth's need to control the lives of Nikolai and Claire help her realize that she may be the one who needs assistance. When Federico gets suspicious about an elderly woman's "natural" death, he inadvertently places Vanessa under scrutiny. A disgruntled former client files a lawsuit against Fisher & Sons, masterminded by an old friend over at Kroehner's.

The only episode to show the deceased in the opening teaser alive then discovered dead a moment later without the cause identified by the audience (a nursing-home patient was thought to have died of natural causes but was later revealed to have been murdered).
Glenn Fitzgerald's three episode arc of a young man with terminal cancer befriended by Nate begins with this episode. All of his scenes were shot in one day so it required the presence of three different directors.
