Episode Quotes

Carrie: Big's leaving his wife!

Carrie: He got drunk and told me at the furniture show
Miranda: What was he doing at a furniture show?
Carrie: Drinkin' and leaving his wife!
Charlotte: I proposed to myself.
Carrie: What?
Charlotte: Yes. I suggested he have a tomato salad, then I suggested we get married.
Carrie: Wait. What exactly did he say?
Charlotte: All righty.
Carrie: All righty? He said all righty? Now I'm thinking the upsetting thing isn't that you proposed, it's that you proposed to a guy that says "all righty".
Charlotte: Oh, Carrie, stop.
Carrie: All righty.
Samantha: I'm dating a guy with the funkiest tasting spunk...

Miranda: [to Carrie] And she's never coming back!

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Carrie is typing on her laptop she says "women tend to use the left, more emotional side of their brain, and men the right, more logical side". It's actually reversed, with the left hemisphere generally thought of as more logical (it processes language), and the right as more emotional (it processes images).
  • Goof (continuity error): In the scene where Miranda is woken at 4am by the puppy whimpering to go out, Miranda enters the hallway and picks up the puppy who is rather large in size. In the next scene when Steve walks in the door some hours later the puppy comes to greet him and it is much smaller than the one Miranda had held in the previous scene.

Trivia

  • First appearance in the series for Frances Sternhagen, playing Trey's mother, Bunny.
  • Darren Starr says that Charlotte storming out of the coffee shop during Samantha's "funky spunk" conversation represents that portion of the audience which would be uncomfortable with the subject.
