The lasts names of many of the main characters are also names of Oklahoma towns: Ada, Dewey, Stillwater, Norman, Perry, Yukon, and Anadarko.
The network announced the cancellation while the crew was shooting second half of season 3. TNT decided then to give them 3 more episodes to finish the plots.
Gordon MacDonald (Hut Flanders) and Holly Hunter are a real life couple. They became parents in 2006. MacDonald had already appeared in season 1 playing another character.
Some of the names on the show, such as Anadarko and Yukon, are references to actual cities in Oklahoma.
This episode was originally set to air as part of season two, between "Saving Grace" (2007) {The Live Ones (#2.11)} and "Saving Grace" (2007) {But There's Clay (#2.12)}.
The writer of this episode, Randy Walker, is a retired Los Angeles Policeman.
This episode was originally filmed in August 2008 and scheduled to be shown near the end of season two. Ultimately, it was re-scheduled and aired as the fourth episode of season three (July 7 2009).
