On August 13, 2009, 'Saving Grace' was canceled despite its high ratings. TNT had originally ordered a 15 episodes third season, with nine episodes scheduled for the summer and six for the winter. Due to cancellation, the summer season ended with ten episodes.

In March 2010, TNT advertised the six remaining episodes (three new episodes added to bring the series to closure) as the final ones. Last episode aired on June 21, 2010.
