On August 13, 2009, 'Saving Grace' was canceled despite its high ratings. TNT had originally ordered a 15 episodes third season, with nine episodes scheduled for the summer and six for the winter. Due to cancellation, the summer season ended with ten episodes.
In March 2010, TNT advertised the six remaining episodes (three new episodes added to bring the series to closure) as the final ones. Last episode aired on June 21, 2010.

Series Fun Facts
- The network announced the cancellation while the crew was shooting second half of season 3. TNT decided then to give them 3 more episodes to finish the plots.
- Gordon MacDonald (Hut Flanders) and Holly Hunter are a real life couple. They became parents in 2006. MacDonald had already appeared in season 1 playing another character.
- The lasts names of many of the main characters are also names of Oklahoma towns: Ada, Dewey, Stillwater, Norman, Perry, Yukon, and Anadarko.
