Season 1 Trivia

Episode 02 - There are 10 musical performances in this episode, the most ever for the show. The Not Ready For Prime Time Players appear only once in the very brief Bee sketch except for Chevy Chase who also appears in the opening and Weekend Update.
Episode 23 - During rehearsals, Louise Lasser refused to do any sketches with the cast. She was eventually convinced to do one sketch with Chevy Chase.
Episode 23 - A few weeks prior to this episode, the show won numerous Emmy Awards. Because of this, NBC persuaded Lorne Michaels into producing two more episodes in July even though the season had already ended.
Episode 02 - This would be the first time Chevy Chase would do his signature pratfall that would open the show for the entire time he was a cast member
Episode 17 - This show featured a TV commercial spoof that became a true classic. Gilda Radner introduces Autumn Fizz, "the world's first carbonated douche".
