This is the last television appearance of the original lineup of The Band. Their farewell concert featured in The Last Waltz (1978) would be held less than a month later.
Chevy Chase's last episode as a cast member.
During the Samurai Stockbroker sketch, John Belushi accidentally sliced Buck Henry's forehead with his Samurai Sword. For the rest of the show, Henry wears a Band-Aid on his forehead. As a running joke, the whole cast puts Band-Aids on their foreheads throughout the episode.
