When younger, Esther, Elizabeth and their sisters lived at 3207 Enright in St. Louis. It is further revealed that Grady is also from St. Louis and remembers when Lamont was born (even if he can't remember his name!).
Two E&J Gallo products are plugged in this episode. Fred gives Grady a glass of his favorite drink, Ripple, which was a fortified wine that boasted a low price and high alcohol content and that enjoyed great popularity in the 1970s, but has since been discontinued. Later in the episode Grip brings over a bottle of Cold Duck to celebrate with his friends. Cold Duck, a reasonably priced Champagne with a concord grape base combined with red and white wines, also enjoyed tremendous popularity in the early 1970s.
