Ned Beatty, who plays Dan father, is only 15 years older than John Goodman (I) (Dan).
Crystal's blind date Donald asks Dan about the design of the Conner's kitchen. Dan says he didn't design it, and when asked who did, Dan responds, "Some guy named Garvin Eddy." Garvin Eddy is the production designer on a number of sitcoms, including this one.
Dan is asked who designed the kitchen, and he replies, "Some guy named Garvin Eddy." Garvin Eddy was the production designer for the show. His name is also referenced in the episode "Guilt By Disassociation" (#2.3), when Roseanne has a job interview at the Garvin Meat Packing Plant.
