ROME is a masterpiece. The show is different from any other you ever known and probably will ever know. It is brilliant. None of the historical data contradicts it. Even the two main characters, Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus, existed. Yet the world in which you enter may shock you... Rome, the beacon of the ancient world, so prosper and distinguished, but so depraved and wicked. The place where the fate of the world is decided is a place only for the strong. An intimate drama of love and betrayal, masters and slaves, and husbands and wives, 'Rome' chronicles the epic times that saw the fall of a Republic and the creation of an empire. There are only two seasons. The first starts with the conflict between Caesar and Pompey and ends with Caesar's death. The second continues with Octavian's succession and ends with his enemies, Marc Antony and his party. There are no heroes and no villains. Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus are meagrely our eyes and ears in that amazing world, Rome. |

Have to say that I just discovered it and I love this show! And especially beacuse I'm not a fond of the roman story it is really good for me to know a little bit about it thanks to this show! I'm finishing the first season... and I will continue with the second season soon :D |

If they considered doing a third season I'd watch. But they had hit all the high points for that era, there really wasn't much to go with at the end. |

Great show, terrific acting. This show was very detailed, and one of the better HBO shows. Too bad they ended it. |
