Robot Wars (UK)
Teams of 3 persons built a 'robot' (radio controlled) which was pitted against another with a view to either immobilising the opponent or sending them out of the battle area. The only limitation was to weight. The weapons used included 'flipping trays' and angled bodywork; battering rams and spikes; flails; spinning bodies; rotary saws and hammers.
