TALK Robin Hood (UK) (Give your review)

Another adaption of a story that has been told many times. But the quirky and adorable characters definitely make it worth to watch. Robin is a bit younger than in most of the other versions, which makes him cocky and proud but also hilariously funny. The first two seasons are fantastic with creative and well-done storylines. Unfortunately, the show lost its spark in the third season due to various reasons. I don't wanna spoil anything, but it seems like the writers and the actors didn't have that much fun anymore doing the third season. That's why I find the third season almost unwatchable. That's a shame of course, but it shouldn't overshadow the quality of the first two seasons. The best thing to do is just to try to forget that a season 3 ever existed. |

In 'Robin Hood' a dashing Robin teams up with some merry (wo)men in order to stop the Sheriff from tormenting the people of Nottingham. Meanwhile the beautiful and independent Marian takes matters into her own hands as she goes out at night, disguised as the Nightwatchman. As the two encounter each other, they join forces and hearts. This modern interpretation of the notorious story has it all: action, adventure, drama, romance, suspense, humour. The two leads have great chemistry together and play their roles close to perfection. The characters as well as the storylines are captivating and will draw you in effortlessly. |

This is an awesome show! The carefree escapism of a great character and cast. The one question I have is what they are going to do next season, Robin's mythos will be changed forever! |

Okay, this show sometimes has way too many modern touches in it (costumes, turns of speech), for something set in medieval times... but it's fun and enjoyable to watch, and has believable characters with some depth. What more can you ask from a TV show? ***** |

Really good show there is fun, adventure and love.. what can we expect more? And I like the first character. He is a hero but human :D The sheriff is really fun :D |

i really like this show it's probably the best thing to watch on Saturday night these days and a third series is definately being talked about ....can't wait Jonas Armstrong is fit as well ;) |

There is also an earlier Robin Hood TV Series "Robin of Sherwood" with 24 episodes aired in 1984-86. In this show Robin is not an earl, but an ordinary villager born in Loxley which is destroyed by the Normans when he was a kid. When he grows up, he is chosen by the mystical Herne the Hunter to become his 'son' and champion the oppressed.
