caranfinand Jan 8, 2008 5:07PM	Okay, this show sometimes has way too many modern touches in it (costumes, turns of speech), for something set in medieval times... but it's fun and enjoyable to watch, and has believable characters with some depth. What more can you ask from a TV show? *****	+2

In this show Robin is not an earl, but an ordinary villager born in Loxley which is destroyed by the Normans when he was a kid. When he grows up, he is chosen by the mystical Herne the Hunter to become his 'son' and champion the oppressed. Marion is married to Robin and they live in Sherwood forest, alonwith their merry band, which includes Friar Tuck and Nsair the Saracen (instead of the girl Jacque).This retelling of the legend introduces a strong fantasy element, with black magic and the old religion.Check it out at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086791/	+0
