After the destruction of a new space station young people are drawn to a stone circle in England, and other locations around Earth. They believe they'll be taken to a better place by a higher power. Only Professor Quatermass realizes that the young people are being tricked by an alien power who wants to 'harvest' humanity. It's up to Quatermass to find a way to stop the deadly plans of the aliens.

[show]Started life in 1973 as a BBC serial called Quatermass IV. It had been commissioned by Ronnie Marsh and according to Nigel Kneale, the intended producer was Joe Waters. Some model test sequences of the space station were shot, but eventually the project was abandoned by the BBC. ITV then picked it up a few years later and produced it in association with Euston Films.
