Summary: Shawn and Gus investigate the disappearance of a man from Glorious Pines, an upscale retirement community. The tight security in the facility prohibits them from being able to get inside, so they pass Henry off as their (crazy) grandfather and check him in to a room. As they get closer to solving the case, more residents fall victim to some unexplained occurrences.The mayor has a special case for Lassiter and Juliet. They must supervise a juvenile delinquent, which Lassiter uses as an opportunity to scare the boy straight.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Shawn, Gus, Harry, and the security guard on the "inside" are walking down the hall they bump into the large security guard that has thrown Gus and Shawn out before. When he confronts them, the two hold up their Visitors Passes. Shawn holds his straight up and when the camera angle changes you can see the Pass over Shawn's shoulder is now lengthwise. When the camera angle changes back, his pass is upright again.
CONT: In one scene, Shawn and Gus go back to the old folks home to tell harry that they found the old man in the hospital. When they're talking to harry, he is holding a plate that the lady gave him and the sandwich keeps moving. In one angle, he's holding the sandwich but when the camera angle changes, its back on the plate. It continues to happen through the conversation with the lady about BBQ sauce and when he's talking to Shawn and Gus about the suspicious behavior at the home.

TRIVIA

The Old and the Restless is a play on the term "The Young and the Restless" (1973). Corbin Bernsen's mother 'Jeanne Cooper' plays "Katherine Chancellor" on the soap, and Corbin himself also had a brief role on the soap as Father Todd Williams.
Most of the characters at the old people's home are named for Batman villains who've been incarcerated at Arkham Asylum- Oswald (Cobblepot, aka Penguin), Harley (Quinn), Jervis (Tetch, aka The Mad Hatter), Pamela (Isley, aka Poison Ivy), and so on.
