Summary: At the beginning of the episode model Mary is out! As a treat of simplicity the challenge seems simple enough - make an outfit out of cotton and no food has to be used! However the task dose have a small twist to it. The design must elude the designers impression of Envy. It turns out that envy doesn’t conjure up the same ideas in everyone. Vanessa evokes baby-envy, while Nora goes abstract, placing strategic cutouts revealing areas of body envy. Thinking of her father's career in the Air Force, Kara creates a personal military-inspired gown connecting the dots from envy and war. For Starr, envy is like an unhealthy growth, and Jay goes for social commentary, emblazoned with envious phrases.Surprised that they are not headed for the runway instead ending at a down town store. Fashion is more then sewing clothes and loving what you do, it can’t be a careen until someone is buying it. Which makes this business aspect of the competition just what they need. The designers will have to "sell their vision" to the most fashionable people in New York. During a silent auction, the designer whose garment earns the highest bid will win the challenge; the rest will be judged on the runway, and one will be eliminated. You're either in, or you're out, who was out this week? Mario is Out! |
