Summary: At the annual basketball appreciation party thrown by Dan and Deb, old scars are reopened and new friends are made as Keith and Dan once again square off and Karen finds an unexpected ally. Lucas finally gets the opportunity to make a move on Peyton, but when he wants too much, too soon, Peyton backs away. Meanwhile, Haley admits her feelings for Nathan to Lucas, but as Haley and Nathan begin to get closer, a vicious rumor started by a drunk Brooke leaves the buildings of their relationship in shambles.
