Character Bio

Sarah Forbes photo
Sarah Forbes joined the Odyssey crew as an anchor at a cable news network, because she thought the mission might bring her closer to God and her son Corey, who had died shortly after his fifth birthday. Upon her return, she immediately begins taking Corey to doctors to try and prevent his death by stomach cancer, which causes tension between her and her husband Paul. Nothing is as important to her as her son, and she will do anything to protect him, even if it means the destruction of her marriage. A devout Catholic, Sarah is conflicted over her relationship with boss Troy (who in the original timeline became her second husband after her marriage with Paul fell apart after Corey's death). Smart, resourceful, and a natural leader, she is in many ways as vitally important to the group as Chuck, particularly as her job as anchor of the nightly news in Houston opens doors which would have otherwise remained closed to the group as they attempt to ferret out the truth regarding the Cadre and the Sentients.

Sarah Forbes Quotes

01x01 - Pilot (Part 1) Season 1 / Episode 1: - Pilot (Part 1)

Kurt Mendel: Closer. Closer. Do it, do it baby.
Sarah Forbes: Why does everything that comes out of your mouth have something to do with sex?
Kurt Mendel: Maybe because were riding in a three billion dollar phallic symbol. Don't quote me.
Sarah Forbes: If I started quoting you they'd shut down the space program.
01x01 - Pilot (Part 1) Season 1 / Episode 1: - Pilot (Part 1)

Sarah Forbes: Speaking of a lack of confidence, I don't need to remind you that I'm putting you on live TV. You make me look bad, I'm flushing you out the air lock.
Kurt Mendel: Not to worry, darling. I promise you a dignified exchange. But, uh, now that we're on the subject of the air lock, did you know that oxygen depletion enhances the effect of sexual stimulation?
Sarah Forbes: [Interrupting] I don't - I don't want to know.
