Born with an eager and inquisitive nature, Katie has always taken the world in with a speedy curiosity and a hunger to learn. Because of her quirky and high-octane ways, Katie found herself an outsider growing up and quickly submersed herself in her own fantasy world of comic books and superheroes. Identifying with her favorite superhero character, Kitty Pryde, Katie longs for acceptance.

After college, Katie discovered she could find a home in the scientific community, where her intellectuality was appreciated and useful. She was accepted to do her post-doc work at Global Tech working for acclaimed bio-medical researcher, Stephanie Powell. Katie admires Stephanie's ability to do it all (scientist, mother, wife) and be highly respected in the scientific community. Katie longs to be appreciated by Stephanie... and maybe even considered a friend. When Katie discovers that her boss has superhero powers, she realizes that she has her 'in.' Using her combined knowledge of superheroes and science, she'll become an indispensible asset on Stephanie's journey to understand her family's powers, and maybe, if she's lucky, become Stephanie's friend.
