Trace Beaulieu was out of town during this episode's production, so Crow was turned into a Christmas tree.
Trace Beaulieu was out of town for the filming of this episode and the next, requiring Crow to be written out of the story. This is the only episode in which the host watches the movie by himself (with the exception of the unaired pilot, "The Green Slime"); Servo appears in the host segments, but not in the theater, for reasons that are never explained.
