Episode Quotes

Earl: No I am. I'm happy, I'm happy I got the money back, but I did it again. I forced him to give up his touchdown. I can't cross it off my list.
Randy: Earl you didn't make me do this. I did it because you're my brother and I wanted to. I can make my own decisions, I'm not an idiot.
Earl: But don't you wanna know what it feels like to score a touchdown?
Randy: I'm pretty sure it's the same feeling I got when I drove up and saw the smile on your face.
Earl Hickey: Where's my car, Joy?
Joy: Oh, I had it towed.
Earl Hickey: Towed?
Joy: Yeah. Maybe if you gave me some of that lotto money, I'd back off!
Earl Hickey: [voiceover] It was at that moment I realized Joy had no idea that the money was in the car.
Randy Hickey: Hey, Earl! Joy had no idea all your lotto money was in the car!
Earl: Karma. You gotta love it!

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (plot holes): Randy said he bet $3000 on his thrown game, allowing him to use the winnings to retrieve Earl's car. Where did this $3000 stake come from and why did Earl and Randy simply not use this to pay for the release of the car?
  • Goof (factual errors): An electricity needs a two points of contact in order to move. When the impound guys turn on the electrified fence while Earl and Randy are on it, they have one point of contact; therefore, they would not have been electrocuted. Also, assuming it would electrocute them, they would not have been thrown from it as they were grabbing onto the fence (muscles contracted) they would have just involuntarily grabbed harder.

Trivia

  • Earl completes the following items on his list in this episode: - #58: "Fixed a high school football game". - #260: "Took away Randy's touchdown". (Note: It is unclear of Earl crosses this one off of his list or not, Randy insists that he should, though).
