Summary: Monk receives a call from a drunken Stottlemeyer, who is in Las Vegas with Disher for a fellow officer's bachelor party. Stottlemeyer suspects that the casino owner has murdered his wife. Main Characters in this Episode
- Goof (continuity error): When Monk, Natalie, and Stottlemeyer are looking at the access panel in the private elevator, Stottlemeyer says "There's an access panel." However, later, when Monk notices the ceiling mounted cameras and remembers the access panel, the flashback shows Stottlemeyer saying "There's an access panel above."
- Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Monk is forced to leave the blackjack table, Captain Stottlemeyer and Lieutenant Disher stay behind to collect the chips. After picking most of them up, Stottlemeyer throws a chip to the dealer and says "That's for you". The dealer takes the chip and places it in his left shirt pocket, under his vest. In Casinos, all tips are collected into a community pot, and split equally amongst the table dealers, croupiers, etc. Also, a dealer who puts a chip in his pocket at the table would immediately be removed from play, and would be terminated. It is instant grounds for dismissal for a floor worker to take any chips off of the gaming floor. That is why the dealers must "Clear their hands", i.e. show the flat palms up and down for the cameras, when they are relieved, when they cough, or at any time their hands aren't in plain sight.
- Goof (continuity error): When Stotlemeyer answers the door for Monk, he slides over a pizza. When Monk and Natalie come in, the pizza is gone.
- The episode "Mr. Monk goes to Vegas" was shot on the set of Las Vegas. They had to shoot on the weekend because that's the only time the set was available.
