Summary: Alexander Vanin is an enemy agent serving 20 years for espionage. Vanain hid a list of undercover enemy agents in the U.S. prior to his arrest, and Gergor Mishenko, Vanin's control, has been ordered to find it. Vanin knows Mishenko will have him killed as soon as he gives out the info. The IMF must find the list by getting Vanin out of jail and reuniting him with his wife, who holds the key to unlocking Vanin's memory, which he's blanked out using a post-hypnotic command.
