Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): During the "tape scene," the tape recorder that Phelps is playing first has a take-up reel that has much more tape than the left-hand reel that is still to play; then in two consecutive shots, there is as much or more tape on the first reel than on the take-up reel; then just before the tape "self destructs," the take-up reel again has more tape than the other reel.

Trivia

  • Barney has a small white machine that seems to hold a long section of pipe. This is not a special effect. The "pipe" is made of a steel ribbon that is preformed in a curve. It can be flattened and rolled onto a reel. When it is unrolled it again forms a tube.
  • In the episode "The Cardinal" Barney (Greg Morris) uses a small white machine that extrudes a very long pipe. This is not a special effect. The "pipe" is a flat strip of spring steel which has been formed into a tube. The strip is flattened and wound around a reel inside the machine. As it is unwound it forms itself into a tube. When retracted it is again flattened and wound on the reel.
