  • Episode 01 - Goof (factual errors): Electric wheelschairs use a mechanical switch to activate and control the wheels. To rig the chair for remote control would take a complex control system to be added to the chair, not just a radio control unit.
  • Episode 07 - Actor Victoria Wicks, who plays Reverend Stone's wife Sarah Stone, has appeared previously in Midsomer episode "Midsomer Murders" (1997) {Sins of Commission (#7.4)} as Helen Callaghan.
  • Episode 07 - SPOILER: When the body of Molly Thomas is discovered by Lynton Pargeter, a radio is on at high volume beside her. The play being broadcast is the Greek tragedy "Medea" by Euripides. The voice heard playing the role of Medea is that of Clare Higgins, who appeared as Gina C
  • Episode 01 - Goof (plot holes): During the flashback the murderer is shown setting up the machine gun with bare hands. Why didn't fingerprints reveal the killer's identity to Barnaby?

How this reconciles with the Sergeant's Welsh accent is never explained.
