Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the beginning of the episode "Calderon's Return, Part 1", a hired assassin, supposedly one of the best in the world, is seen putting on surgical gloves to keep his fingerprints off the gun he is about to use. However, before he puts on the gloves, he moves the gun off of them by touching the gun butt with his fingertips.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Crockett and Tubbs commandeer the speedboat at the marina, as the boat is leaving, you can see the silhouettes of the film crew on the side of the boat.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): You can see someone wearing a white short sleeve shirt in the mirror when Crockett and Tubbs are searching the ransacked apartment.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Leon is introduced, he is walking past several stores and the camera and crew are reflected in the windows as he walks past.
Goof (factual errors): In this first episode of the show, the judge refers to a recommendation by the State Attorney's Office. However, after the first episode, the characters frequently refer to the "Assistant D.A." or "District Attorney," which is incorrect. In Florida, prosecutors are referred to as Assistant State Attorneys.
Goof (continuity error): When Crockett and Rivera are riding in Corky Fowler's car the background changes between freeway and business area as it cuts from character to character.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): Spotlights were used along with the fixed street lights to illuminate the road during the Camaro/boat chase. The temporary lights are on hydraulic scissor stands and are visible in most of the chase sequence.
Goof (continuity error): In the opening scene where Sonny Crockett and Eddie Rivera are talking, Crockett is smoking a cigarette. He takes a drag and takes it from his lips, but a second later, it's back between his lips.
Goof (revealing mistake): When Tubbs wakes Crockett on his boat, a pack of Lucky Strike unfiltered cigarettes are visible in the foreground. However, the cigarettes Crockett smokes are much longer than unfiltered Lucky Strikes as evidenced by the cigarette he lights during his meeting (under the alias Sonny Burnett) with Trini DeSoto.

Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): Just after Crockett calls for Tubbs to give him some covering fire in the climactic shootout, Tubbs fires seven shots (sound-wise) from a revolver, in the time-span of only five muzzle-flashes.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): Camera operator's shadow visible during the credit sequence after the train goes by.
Goof (continuity error): Kovics' Cadillac limo changes into an unmarked police car, complete with flashing blue light on the dash, when it jumps the drawbridge.
Goof (continuity error): At the start of the two-van car chase, the chase van has one defective headlight. A few seconds later, both headlights work just fine.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): In the scene where Crockett, Tubbs, and Noogie walk down the street in a busy marketplace, the guy pushing the camera dolly is visible in the reflection from the storefront windows.
Goof (continuity error): The left tail light on the Ferrari Daytona is out in some shots and lit in others as Tubb's speeds to Crockett's house at the end.
Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): SPOILER: At the end of the episode, after finding out the Lt. has died, Tubbs tells Crockett that Calderone is in the Bahamas, but if you look closely, he actually says Bimini.
Goof (errors in geography): When the Bahamian police chief talks to Crockett and Tubbs, the police car he is seen in is not actually a Bahamian police vehicle. It belongs to the U.S. Virgin Island Police Department, as is evidenced by the decal on the door; displaying both U.S. and U.S. Virgin Island flags.

Goof (continuity error): In the ending montage the positions of the two main characters (and the helm) in the boat switch back and forth from starboard to port.
Goof (crew or equipment visible): In the scene where Tubbs is driving to Angelina's house, you can see the shadow of the helicopter from where the scene was filmed against the cliffs near the shore.
Goof (continuity error): When Tubbs and Angelina are about to have their love scene there is a shot where she disrobes and the robe falls to the floor. We see her toenails are painted maroon. During the love scene her hand is seen caressing his chest and her fingernails are long, and painted maroon. When the love scene is over, the camera slowly pans from her feet up to the actor's faces. Her fingernails are much shorter, and both her fingernails and toenails are painted silver.
Goof (continuity error): The rain drops on Tubbs' jacket in the opening scene on the boat.
Goof (revealing mistake): Don Johnson's stunt double's face is clearly visible when him and Tubbs tumble down the stairway during the fight scene in the outdoor restaurant.
Goof (factual errors): In the scenes when Amato's house is under surveillance, it would be impossible (with early 80s technology) to use a 200X telescope clearly while on a bobbing sailboat, but as shown, the telescope view is rock solid, while every other view from the sailboat is shown bobbing with the water.

However, it takes more than thirty seconds after he says that for the team to actually neutralize the alarm.
Goof (continuity error): In the billiard game between Crockett & McCarthy the #1 ball (yellow) is pocketed three times.
Goof (audio/visual unsynchronized): The band playing at the party has none of their instruments plugged in. Also, the audio features a full drum kit, but the only drums visible are guys playing on snare drums.
Goof (continuity error): The fishing poles in the back of the Daytona change from two long white ones when they leave Miami, to black when they arrive in the Everglades. One of them also gets shorter.
Goof (errors in geography): When Tubbs and Crockett talk about the trip they are making, Tubbs mentions that they are driving "down" to Okeechobee. Okeechobee, Florida is 130 miles north of Miami.
