The asteroid Cassandra is on a collision course with the Earth. An astronomer Dr. Lehman and his assistant Imogene race against time to provide vital information to Dr. Chetwyn, the only one authorized to prevent the destruction. Amidst the chaos, Det. Jack Crowe searches for his psychotic ex-partner Stark, and Sheriff Crowe deals with panic in his small town as the meteor shower continues.
