[show all]The remaing six contestants are split into two teams and asked to cook dinner for customers in a fine dinning restaurant. After dinner service the judges decide a winning team based on customer comment cards as well as the judges own observation of the teams peformance. The losing Team Captain is then given the opportunity to give any one of his team members the option of advancing to the final five and avoiding the pressure test. The Team Captain makes an astonishing selection leaving only two contestants in the Masterchef kitchen for a head to head pressure test. In this pressure test the two contestants must cook three filet mignon at temperattures of rare, medium rare and well done. A losing contestant is selected and removed from the show, but then given a surprising opportunity for the future.
