Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When BJ is going to use his 'defibrillator' on the patient, he tells Klinger, "When I say to give me the juice, turn it OFF and ON real fast". BJ should have said to turn it ON and OFF real fast.
Goof (factual errors): Cardiac defibrillation was first done in Switzerland in 1899 on dogs. They used it stop then restart the dogs hearts. The first use on humans was in 1947 at Case Western Reserve University. A 14 year old boy was saved using the method. So by the Korean war this was known, and was not invented as part of that war.
Goof (continuity error): When B.J. and Hawkeye are talking to a report about B.J.'s invention, the reporter puts his papers in the folder twice.

The bus that the press corps unloads from is a White Motor Company model 706, most likely one of the 98 that were originally built for Yellowstone National Park.
In the middle of the episode, Hawkeye walks into the mess hall and is asked by reports for some background, like where he went to med school. Hawkeye replied quickly with the pun, "Absorbine Junior College". Absorbine Jr is a product that relieves swelling, pain and speeds healing.
