Season 5 Trivia

  • Episode 06 - Matthew Weiner said in an interview for amc.com that the structure of this episode was inspired by several Max Ophüls anthology films that tell different stories in the same movie; these include La Ronde and Le Plaisir.
  • Episode 09 - Goof (anachronisms): At the beginning of this episode, Don Draper is seen checking colour proofs of ads. However, digital proofs of the kind were most definitely not available in 1966. He should have been looking at Cromalin or Geva analog proofs.

  • Episode 13 - Goof (revealing mistake): Near the end of the episode in a motel, Peggy appears to have come out of the shower - hair wet and in a robe. She looks outside the window then sits on the bed and stretches out her legs. The bottom of her feet are too dirty for her to have had a shower.
  • Episode 09 - In episode 5:09, first time Megan Draper says Don's early trademark line "What do you want me to say?"
